The Sony DSR PD-150 mini-dv is our camera of choice because it's great in low light situations, offers lots of pro features and is lighter than the bulky shoulder mounted cameras. This camera was designed specifically for wedding and event videography and is used by news crews and feature film productions all over the world.
We have redheads, umbrella lights and on camera lights to light our productions. 
We use high quality microphones from companies like Shure and AKG. We would prefer to use wired mics but if we have to use wireless then we have high quality wireless mics also.
With wireless mics we are free to move the camera where ever we need to get the shot. For example, we can mic a band playing from across the room while shooting another important moment or mic somebody who is speaking from across the room and capture clean, crisp audio.|
